Level 2 #PassTheGlass

The Great Waters Challenge (GWC) is finally back and Level 2 has officially started! The GWC players in Toronto (including myself), Lost Rivers Toronto, and Waterlution are co-organizing an event to celebrate and appreciate Lake Ontario and all the life the water brings us. We are excited to announce #PasstheGlass is happening on Saturday, June 17th, 2017.

is a water walk to learn about Toronto's water cycle and the history of its lost rivers. By pouring water glass to glass (or container to container) from downtown Toronto to Lake Ontario, participants will gain a better understanding of how we get our water from Lake Ontario, and how our used water goes right back into Lake Ontario. Along the route, there will be activity-stations where participants can learn about water, from a singing choir to canvas painting. Overall, it is a visual and physical demonstration of the water cycle bringing together arts, movement and history.

will start at the southeast corner of Trinity Bellwoods Park and end at the Toronto Music Gardens on the waterfront. Once the walkers arrive at the Toronto Music Gardens, there will be a celebration of water, bringing together all the activities and participants from the walk. Come join in the fun! Please bring a container (a glass, bowl, etc) and dress in blue to symbolize our water bodies. Embrace your inner water!

If you are available, able and in the city, I encourage you to attend! It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the water both inside and outside of you.
